The Ten Thousand Islands are a huge chain of mangrove islands and keys along Florida's southwest coast, from Marco Island down to Everglades National Park. It's one of the largest mangrove forests in the world, and a nursery for the fish we chase.
Much of it is protected as the Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge and Everglades National Park. That means healthy water, lots of fish and very few people.
